St Michael's RC Primary school are looking to work with a drama practitioner and a costume/props designer for their Lead Creative School's project. The learners would like to work with practitioners who are kind, fun, friendly and collaborative. The key aim of this project is to develop oracy in year 3 learners which will lead to an improvement in writing, for a cohort who's learning has been affected by the pandemic. We are aiming to improve imagination and inquistive habits of mind.
Our theme of the term is ‘Do all stories have to be real?’ with a focus on myths and legends. We would like the practitioners to bring creative ideas on how we can use this creative learning experience and improve imagination and find inquisitive ways of learning. We welcome all ideas and proposals to help us work creatively.
The creative practitioner should provide teachers with a rich, practice-based professional development opportunity, through direct engagement with them and their learners. You will help to bring about improvements in teaching and learning in the school, improve outcomes for learners and develop their creativity.
To apply, please send a short project brief, which highlights your interest, experience, skills, and outlines ideas you may have to approach the project, along with a current CV to:
