National Youth Theatre of Wales Auditions 2023

Could your students join our national ensemble in 2023?

Applications are now open to join National Youth Theatre of Wales in 2023. If your students are performers and want to join the national ensemble then we want to hear from them!

We would love your help in spreading the word to talented students across Wales aged 16 – 22. We especially want to encourage those who might not usually audition or put themselves forward, as well as students from communities currently underrepresented within the Arts. This includes young people from ethnically diverse backgrounds, D/deaf, Disabled and Neurodiverse young people and young people from lower-income backgrounds.

Members who join our national ensembles will:

·      Work with the best writers and directors

·      Perform to a very high standard in venues across Wales

·      Meet performers from across Wales

·      Make lifelong friends and have fun training and making work on our Easter and Summer residencies

·      Participate in a year-round programme of masterclasses, workshops and theatre visits.

We can offer free auditions to anyone who can’t afford the audition fee – no questions asked. Plus, with our bursary scheme, if your annual household income is under £55K, you’re entitled to a discount on membership fees of between 35% and 100%.
